The legend and appeal of The Masters Tournament in 2019
This most highly-anticipated of spring rituals happens every April in the lush green hills of eastern Georgia. The world’s very best golfers arrive at Augusta National Golf Club for The Masters Tournament.
Synonymous with the famous championship Green Jacket, a tradition begun in 1949 when Sam Snead became the first champion to receive one, the Masters is unique among all American sports. The Masters Tournament is loaded with juicy golf legend, and unlike any other tournament, it is held at the same location every year without fail. To this very day it is the only major that employs "sudden death" to determine the winner in the quite unlikely event of a tie.
Opened for limited play in 1932 in what was once Fruitland Nurseries, Augusta National Golf Club was designed by famed course architect Alister MacKenzie and golf legend Bobby Jones.
Jones and Clifford Roberts had the daunting task of finding private members and funding the club in the early 1930s when America was in the throes of the Great Depression. They initially tried to acquire the U.S. Open as the feature tournament for their young golf course, but this effort failed and they were determined to create their own. In this effort to promote their own new course, The Masters was born.

"This trip sealed the deal."
“Considered several options in 2018 for entertaining our manufacturing clients from UK who would be visiting with us for contract negotiations. Can't thank you enough for your professional services. All said and done, I think bringing them to Augusta and especially the hospitality club allowed us the time and relaxing space we needed. Deal done plus good golf and, oh man!, that 40yr scotch. Thanks Michael!”

"Our first time at the Masters ..."
“... was really fantastic! We initially thought we would grab a hotel more than an hour away and just take in a few practice days. But I'm glad you showed us some options that were so much more logical and easier. Staying right there in Augusta was great and it made our days more relaxed. And instead of only practice rounds, we actually got to experience a day of tournament play and it was super. Thanks!”
